Selama operasi boiler dalam aplikasi komersial dan industri yang khas, sekitar 10-20% dari nilai kalor bahan bakar dikeluarkan dengan gas cerobong ke atmosfer.Penghemat tumpukan dirancang untuk memulihkan sejumlah besar kehilangan energi gas tumpukan ini, sehingga sangat meningkatkan efisiensi sistem boiler.Ada beberapa pertimbangan saat memilih economizer:

• Penurunan Tekanan Sisi Air.Pompa air umpan harus berukuran untuk mengakomodasi penurunan tekanan economizer.Selain itu, sistem air umpan modulasi kontinu diperlukan untuk memastikan laju aliran yang tepat melalui economizer.
