Boiler economizer adalah jenis penukar panas untuk memanaskan air umpan menggunakan panas gas buang.Gas buang yang berasal dari luar tabung naik dan turun menyilang bundel tabung, melewati panas ke dinding tabung.Air mengalir dari bawah ke atas, dan menyerap panas dari dinding tabung, dan temperaturnya semakin tinggi.Cara ini tidak hanya dapat melawan perpindahan panas untuk menghemat konsumsi logam, tetapi juga baik untuk aliran air/uap dan pembuangan serta mengurangi korosi.Satu lagi, cara ini ampuh untuk membersihkan debu.
