ASME Boiler Superheater yang terbuat dari 12Cr1MovG dirancang untuk aplikasi pemeliharaan dan penggantian yang dapat diandalkan dalam sistem pembangkit listrik.
Pada pembangkit listrik bahan bakar fosil, bagian superheater terletak di tungku penghasil uap. Uap melewati peralatan pengeringan di drum uap sebelum memasuki tabung superheater,di mana ia menyerap energi tambahan dari gas asap panas, meningkatkan suhunya di atas titik jenuh.

Panel tabung serpentine superheater tersedia dalam dua jenis instalasi utama:
- Jenis suspensi vertikal:Struktur satu lapisan yang biasanya digunakan dalam bagian superheater dan reheater suhu tinggi. Panel tabung terhubung langsung ke sendi pipa header dan digantung secara longitudinal.
- Jenis suspensi horizontal:Struktur terutama berlapis ganda yang diikat oleh tabung gantung yang didinginkan dengan air, umumnya digunakan dalam bagian superheater / heater suhu rendah dan tabung serpentin economizer.
